A couple of weeks ago I drove over to Carlyle, Illinois to photograph Kara & Jeff’s sweet engagement session. We hadn’t met yet, but I talked with Kara lots and lots over the course of them booking and was looking forward to finally meeting in person! Originally, we had tried to wait until a field of sunflowers near the lake were in bloom. Well, if you live in the Midwest you know how crazy our weather can be, and that ideal spring bloom didn’t happen as we had planned. Nevertheless, Carlyle Lake was an amazing location for the shoot! I mean, put me by the water and I’m a happy girl…!! Put these two lovebirds by the water and there’s one gorgeous session!
